MS Royal/Crown Vision 14 Night Cruise - Aswan to Cairo Itinerary

DAY 1: ASWAN 

Arrival day into Aswan where you will be met by a representative of Orbital Travel and transferred to you Nile cruiser. 

Dinner and overnight in Aswan. 

DAY 2: ASWAN 

After breakfast, sail on a Felucca along the Nile. Return back to the boat for lunch. 

Lunch and Dinner on board. 

DAY 3: ASWAN 

After breakfast there is a morning of leisure. Optional excursion to Abu Simbel please see the guide on board for details. In the afternoon you will be taken for a city tour of Aswan along with a visit to the bazaar. 

Overnight in Aswan Lunch and Dinner on board. 

DAY 4: EDFU 

Breakfast on board. Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Temple of Kom Ombo after your visit the boat will sail to Edfu where you will see the Temple of Edfu, which is one of the most striking and complete of ancient Egyptian temples and is dedicated to the worship of the god Horus. This temple is one of the best preserved Temples in Egypt. Sail to Esna overnight. 

Lunch and Dinner on board. 

DAY 5: ESNA 

Breakfast on board with a visit to the Temple of Khnum at Esna is a significant archaeological site and it is known for its well-preserved structure, remarkable reliefs, and unique architectural features. 

Lunch and Dinner on board sailing to Luxor. 

DAY 6: LUXOR 

Early morning breakfast on board followed by a visit to the beautiful West Bank. Visit the sites of the Colossi of Memnon, Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut. 

Overnight in Luxor. 

Lunch and Dinner on board. 

DAY 7: QENA 

Enjoy breakfast and visit the Temple of Karnak located on the East bank. Afternoon sailing to Qena with a visit to Dendarah Temple by coach which is one of the best preserved in Egypt. After visiting Dendarah Temple you will return to the boat overnight in Nagaa Hamadi. 

Lunch and Dinner on board. 

DAY 8: NAGAA HAMADI - SOHAG 

Early morning sailing to Sohag. After breakfast visit Abydos Temple, the holy city of Osiris God of the Dead and the New Kingdom Temple of Seti 1. 

Sail to Sohag. 

Lunch and Dinner on board overnight in Sohag. 

DAY 9: SOHAG – TAL EL AMARNA 

Enjoy a full day sailing from Sohag to Tal El Ammarna. 

Overnight in Tal El Ammarna. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on board. 

DAY 10: TAL EL AMARNA 

After breakfast visit Tal El Amarna site, once the city of Akhenaten, the Pharaoh known for his revolutionary religion that worshipped Aten. Three of the rock-tombs of Beni Hassan that are carved into the high limestone cliffs of the east bank of the Nile. The painted scenes depict the daily lives of the rulers and their families including scenes of desert hunting, weaving, spinning, fishing, country living, gathering crops and catching birds. 

Overnight in El Minya. 

Lunch and Dinner on board. 

DAY 11: EL MINYA TO BENI SUEF 

Enjoy a full day sailing from El Minya to Beni Suef. 

Overnight in Beni Suef. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on board. 

DAY 12: BENI SUEF TO CAIRO 

Sailing from Beni Suef to Cairo. After breakfast visit the Egyptian Museum containing treasures from Egypt’s ancient past and including the wonderful Tutankhamun collection. Then on to the famous Khan el Khalil Bazaar. 

Lunch and Dinner on board overnight in Cairo. 

DAY 13: CAIRO 

Enjoy breakfast on board before visiting Giza where the famous Pyramids stands as monuments to the Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt and the Great Sphinx, which has kept its secrets for centuries. Continuing to the Civilization Museum which presents the full range of the richness and diversity of Egyptian civilization throughout. Lunch and Dinner on board overnight in Cairo. 

DAY 14: CAIRO 

Enjoy breakfast on board and enjoy leisure. 

Lunch and Dinner on board overnight in Cairo. 

DAY 15: CAIRO 

Your journey has come to an end you will disembark after breakfast from your Nile cruiser and transferred to Cairo airport by an Orbital Travel representative. 

 

PLEASE NOTE: The order or content of your itinerary may be amended due to lock closures, low water levels or any other unforeseeable circumstances.
