THINGS TO SEE & DO...

The small Museum of Ancient Art on the Corniche holds a fine collection of Egyptian sculpture. About 300 items are on display
illustrating every period from predynastic to medieval Islam.

The Tombs of the Nobles are located on the West Bank and are well worth a visit. They
span a period of nearly 500 years from
the mid 18th Dynasty onwards. Nineteen
of them are open to the public and are beautifully preserved with stunning colours.

The Valley of the Workers is also located on
the West Bank. A visit to the village and tombs
in Deir el-Medina gives a fascinating glimpse
of the life and the times of the artisans.
