In 2012 the Egyptian government re-opened the river Nile between Cairo and ancient Thebes (Luxor) to cruise boats. This exciting new cruise includes 19 guided excursions to some of the least visited and important sites of Middle Egypt including Tel el Amarna, site of the ‘heretic pharaoh’ Akhenaten’s city, the beautifully preserved Temples at Dendarah and the Temple of Seti I, built around 1300 BC by Seti and his son Ramses II at Abydos.
