BORDEAUX - PAUILLAC - BLAYE - LIBOURNE - SAINT EMILION - BORDEAUX
DAY1: 23 DECEMBER - BORDEAUX
Embarkation between 6pm and 7pm in Bordeaux. Welcome cocktail and introduction of the crew. Dinner on board and moor overnight.
DAY 2: 24 DECEMBER - BORDEAUX - PAUILLAC - MEDOC
The cruise departs early in the morning and sails down the Garonne and then the Gironde, passing alongside the Cazeau and Patiras islands before reaching Pauillac at about midday. Lunch on board. In the afternoon there is an optional excursion to discover the Médoc , a prestigious wine-growing region and where you will be able to see such famous names as Châteaux Laffite Rothschild, Latour and Mouton Rothschild. Return to the ship. Special Christmas Eve dinner and moor overnight.
DAY 3: 25 DECEMBER PAUILLAC – BLAYE – LIBOURNE
Early in the morning we will leave Pauillac for Blaye and arrival at about 8.00am. Optional excursion to discover the citadel, the Corniche road and the Gironde estuary. There will be a short stop in Bourg, a delightful village built on a rocky outcrop surrounded by medieval ramparts. Return to the boat for lunch and the cruise towards Libourne. After sailing past the Ile Cazeau, sail back up the Dordogne to reach Libourne in the evening. Dinner dance evening on board. Moor overnight.
DAY 4: 26 DECEMBER – LIBOURNE – SAINT EMILION – BORDEAUX
Optional morning excursion to Saint-Emilion to explore its underground monuments and to visit a family-owned wine-growing estate with a wine-tasting session. Return to the ship for lunch. The afternoon will be spent sailing towards Bordeaux with an arrival at 6pm. After dinner, there is an optional guided tour of Bordeaux by night: departure by coach for a panoramic tour of the city, taking in all the main monuments, followed by a walking tour of old Bordeaux. Return to the boat and moor overnight.
