Croatia & Montenegro Cruise Itinerary

You will be met at Dubrovnik airport and transferred to the ship with embarkation from 5pm. Check-in to your cabin and evening at leisure.

Breakfast on board. Optional guided tour of the city of Dubrovnik.

Nicknamed “the pearl of the Adriatic”, the city hugs the coast at the foot of a range of rugged limestone mountains. The ancient city is famous for its ramparts, which date from medieval times, and its numerous pre-Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque buildings. Back to the boat for lunch around 1pm. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy Dubrovnik and we suggest a walk around the ramparts. These fortified walls which completely encircle the old town are 2km long and up to 25m in height. From the ramparts you get a very beautiful view over the old town. Back on board for the evening. Presentation of the crew followed by a welcome cocktail served in the lounge and dinner on board followed by an evening of dancing. Departure of the cruise around midnight.

Breakfast during the cruise and arrival in Mljet around 9am. Situated between the island of Korcula and Dubrovnik, this is one of the most beautiful islands in the Adriatic and forms part of a National Park. Optional excursion to the 12th century Benedictine monastery situated in the middle of the Veliko Jezero Lake. Back on board at the end of the morning. During lunch, cruise to Korcula and arrive about 2pm. Optional guided tour of the town on foot including the Cathedral of St Mark (1420), a testament to the great skills of the stonemasons and sculptors of this time. Back on board for the evening. Dinner on board, followed by a traditional “sabre dancing” evening.

Departure early in the morning and arrive at Sibenik around 9.30am. Breakfast during the cruise and lunch on board. Optional guided tour of the town and the Krka falls. Visit the National Park of the Krka Falls, the site at Skradinski Buk is breathtaking as the water cascades down in waterfalls over 17 tightly spaced ledges of porous travertine rocks. Return to Sibenik and guided visit on foot of the town including its historic centre with its network of alleyways from the 15th and 16th centuries and the Cathedral of St James (1433 to 1477) with its unique skeletal stone construction and a listed World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Back on board for dinner and an evening with the crew.

Departure of the cruise early in the morning, breakfast on board. Arrival in Trogir around 8am. Optional tour of the town. Trogir is a little gem with a maze of alleyways dotted with stairways and vaulted passages. It has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its abundance of Roman and Renaissance architecture.  Visit the superb Roman Church of St Lawrence with its remarkable interior; a Renaissance chapel and beautiful pulpit. Visit the 13th century Town Hall and the old town which has managed to preserve many of its monuments intact from the Golden Age (13th to 15th centuries).

Back on board at the end of the morning and sail to Split, passing through the beautiful Dalmatian coast and arrive in Split around 3pm. The second largest city in Croatia, it is the heart of central Dalmatia and a vibrant university and artistic centre. Visit the Palace of Diocletian, the Temple of Jupiter and the Cathedral of St Domnius, built on the ancient site of the mausoleum of Diocletian. Back on board at the end of the day. Dinner on board and evening at leisure.

Day 6 - SPLIT – HVAR – VIS

Departure of the cruise early in the morning and breakfast on board.  Arrive at Hvar early morning. Optional guided tour including the 15th century Franciscan monastery with its fine collection of Venetian paintings, lace, coins and rare books. Also visit the Cathedral of St Stephen with its bell tower. Return on board for lunch, and departure towards Vis, arrival around 2.00pm. The most westerly of the Dalmatian islands and the least known with unspoilt landscapes  and a rugged coastline sheltering numerous creeks and coves. Explore the town at your leisure. Back on board for the gala dinner, followed by an evening of dancing. Departure of the boat during the night for Kotor.

Breakfast during the cruise and arrive in Kotor during the morning. The Kotor estuary is unique: the sea sweeps in for several kilometres, forming a number of calm bays which were once furrowed by a powerful naval force. The abundant rainfall and the temperate climate in this fjord-like bay explain the luxuriance of the vegetation. Lunch on board. Optional guided tour of Kotor on foot. Visit the Cathedral of St Tryphon, built in the 9th century to house St Tryphon’s remains brought back by Kotor’s sailors from Asia Minor and the Grgurina Palace. Back on board around 4pm and departure of the cruise for Dubrovnik and arrival in the evening. Dinner on board and evening at leisure.

Breakfast on board and disembark at 9am for the transfer to Dubrovnik airport.
