Seine River cruises



Check in from 6.00pm and settle into your cabin. Welcome cocktail and introduction to the crew. Dinner on board followed by a leisurely night-time cruise to see the sights of Paris. Overnight in Paris.  


After breakfast there is an optional tour of Paris, beginning with its famous landmarks including the iconic Eiffel Tower, the magnificent Gothic cathedral Notre Dame, Napoleon’s Triumphal Arch the Arc de Triomphe and the impressive Champs Elysées. Lunch on board with an afternoon at leisure. Dinner on board with evening at leisure or an optional excursion to enjoy a cabaret show. Moor overnight.


Breakfast on board and cruise to Vernon arriving at lunch time. Lunch on board. In the afternoon there is an optional excursion to the Claude Monet Foundation in Giverny. Here in Normandy, this charmingly restored pink façade house with green shutters invites you to step back in time and explore the restored interior of Monet’s domain to admire the sunshine yellow dining room and cool blue living room, his extensive workshops and his lovingly restored gardens, the Flower Garden, the Water Garden and his famous Japanese Garden with the beautiful Japanese bridge all bathed in the unique light of the Seine Valley. Return on board for dinner followed by cruising towards Caudebec-en-Caux. 


Breakfast on board with morning spent cruising and relaxing, whilst enjoying views of the  beautiful countryside with quaint villages nestling on the banks of the Seine, all protected by a backdrop of mountains. Lunch on board whilst cruising to Caudebec–en- Caux, arriving at lunchtime. Afternoon optional tour to discover the ‘Abbeys Trail’ which begins with a tour of the Abbey of St Wandrille founded in the 7th century by Saint Wandrille, followed by a tour of the beautiful ruins of the Abbey Jumeiges founded in 654 and finishing with the 10th century Norman church of St Pierre. Return on board for dinner and evening sailing to Hornfleur.

After breakfast there are two optional tours available. The first one is on the ‘Côte Fleurie’ with its lush countryside and coast and a visit to the towns of the pretty fishing port and resort of Trouville, famous for its fishing market which was built in neo-Norman classical style and Deauville full of architectural wonders, historical splendour and culture. A stop at the Calvados distillery is included in the excursion with a tasting the order of the day! Return to the cruiser for lunch. After lunch there is an optional guided visit to the small medieval maritime town of great historical interest, Honfleur. Time has stood still for this small port with cobbled streets and narrow houses surrounding the Old Dock. The second full day optional guided tour is to the beaches of the Normandy landings. Departure is by coach from the cruiser to Pointe du Hoc passing by Omaha Beach and Coleville sur Mer, the site of the American Cemetery. Shortly after lunch arrive in the pleasant coastal town of Arromanches which is known as playing an integral part in the D-day landings on June 6th 1944. The tour is completed with a showing of the film ‘The Price of Liberty’. Return to the cruiser. Dinner on board and evening at leisure.


Early morning cruise to enjoy the rolling countryside and superb views. Before reaching the town of Rouen sail under the magnificent Normandy Bridge. Lunch on board and arrive at the ancient city of Rouen just after lunch. Take an optional guided tour of this medieval town with cobbled streets, fabulous half timbered houses, and magnificent architecture including the impressive Rouen cathedral which amongst its many highlights has a stained glass window containing an effigy of Richard the Lionheart. The modern church of St Joan of Arc was built on the site where she was burnt alive. Return to the cruiser and dinner on board with an evening of entertainment. Moor overnight.

Seine River cruises


Breakfast followed by a cruise to the pretty town of Les Andelys nestled on the banks of the Seine passing through the lock in Amfreville, a tranquil and rural town on the banks of the Seine. Arriving at midday, lunch is on board followed by an optional visit to the superb Chateau de Martainville built in the 15th and 16th centuries and the Museum of Norman Arts and Traditions. Return to the cruiser. Gala dinner and evening while cruising.


Before arrival in Paris, breakfast on board before disembarking at 9.00am and transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Please note: for reasons of navigational safety, the captain and crew of the boat may decide to modify the cruise itinerary, which is beyond Orbital Travel's control.

There is a comprehensive programme of guided optional excursions which can either be pre-booked or can be booked on board the boat. There is a 5% discount when you pre-book the whole excursions package.
