Check in from 5pm and settle in your cabin. Welcome cocktail and introduction to the crew. Dinner served on board followed by an optional tour of the old town of Amsterdam by river boat. Return to the cruiser and sail overnight to the small village of Kinderdijk.


Arrive in Kinderdijk early morning. Buffet breakfast on board. An optional excursion is available to visit on foot, the beautifully preserved windmills of Kinderdijk which date back to the sixteenth century. The site of the nineteen windmills is now on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. Return to the ship and continue to cruise towards the city of Nijmegen, which is considered to be the oldest city in the Netherlands. The cruise continues, passing the towns of Oude Maas set in pretty countryside and Spijkenisse. Dinner on board followed by an evening of entertainment as the cruise continues through the night. Night time arrival at Nijmegen.


Breakfast on board and optional visit to the Kroller Muller Museum located in the picturesque Hoge Veluwe National Park. Works of art from the old masters are displayed along with the second largest collection of Van Gogh’s works of art in the world. Return to the ship and continue cruising to Cologne. Lunch on board and cruise through with afternoon enjoying views of the countryside, towns and cities. Dinner served on board followed by an evening of dancing and relaxation. Cruise through the night.

Arrive early morning in Cologne. Breakfast followed by an optional guided tour of Cologne, one of Germany’s oldest cities. Here, the fabulous cathedral spires can be seen on the skyline anywhere in the city. The city is full of history dating back two thousand years with wonderful treasures, famous museums and art galleries at every turn. Lunch on board with an afternoon of cruising to Koblenz. Cruise throughout the evening with dinner on board, arriving at Koblenz during the evening. Evening at leisure. Moor overnight.


Breakfast served on board whilst cruising to the winemaking town of Rudesheim in the Rhine Gorge. Pass through the picturesque Rhine Valley, with beautiful vistas, charming picture perfect villages, terraced vineyards and castles; this is nature at her best. The ship passes the Loerlei rock which soars above the waterline of the Rhine. Lunch on board with the cruise continuing into the early afternoon until arrival at the quaint and romantic town of Rudesheim. 

Afternoon at leisure or optional tour to enjoy wine tasting in the region followed by a visit to a museum of mechanical music. Return to the ship mid afternoon and continue cruising to Boppard. Dinner served on board arriving in the town of Boppard early evening. An evening of exploration for those who want to see the town at their own pace or if preferred, be accompanied by a guide. Moor overnight.


Breakfast and lunch on board as the cruise continues early in the morning to Dusseldorf. After lunch the ship arrives in the modern and vibrant city of Dusseldorf. An optional guided tour on foot is available to discover all that this city has to offer. The Alstadt or Old Town district has historical architecture, museums and oozes culture. A Mecca for beer lovers are the two hundred and fifty bars, public houses and restaurants that line the streets of the Old Town, known as the ‘longest bar in the world’. Dinner served on board with an evening of entertainment.

Rhine River Cruises


Cruise through the night towards Amsterdam, breakfast and lunch is served on board with time to relax before arriving in Amsterdam in the early afternoon. An optional guided tour is offered to visit the old charming city of Amsterdam, known as the ‘Venice of the North’ with a network of canals running throughout the city. Gala dinner served on board followed by an evening of entertainment. Moor overnight.


After breakfast this morning, disembark around 9am and transfer to the airport/station for your return journey home.

Please note: for reasons of navigational safety, the captain and crew of the boat may decide to modify the cruise itinerary, which is beyond Orbital Travel's control.
