DAY 1: CAIRO
Transfer from Cairo International Airport to your 5*hotel. Overnight stay in Cairo.
DAY 2: CAIRO
Visit the three Great Pyramids of Giza dedicated to Cheops, Khafre and Menakaure, the sole survivors of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the Sphinx which for thousands of years was the enigmatic symbol of Egypt. In the afternoon visit the Egyptian Museum where Tutankhamen's gold mask is among the artefacts housed here, along with remains of many of the pharaohs. Overnight in Cairo hotel.
DAY 3: CAIRO
Visit the Pyramid of Saqqara a vast, ancient burial ground in Egypt, serving as the necropolis for the Ancient Egyptian capital, Memphis, Memphis with its remains including the temple of the local god Ptah, and the embalming houses of the Apis bull and the Citadel. Overnight in Cairo hotel.
DAY 4: CAIRO - ASWAN
Transfer to Cairo airport for your internal flight to Aswan. Transfer to your 5* hotel in Aswan and afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Aswan hotel.
DAY 5: ASWAN
Visit the Temple of Isis at Philae, one of the most beautiful and best preserved Greco-Roman temples in Egypt. The island is reached by a short trip on a motor boat from where you will have a magnificent view of the island before landing at the what would have been the ancient quay on the south side. Visit the High Dam and the unfinished obelisk in Aswan. Overnight in Aswan hotel.
DAY 6: ASWAN
Visit Abu Simbel Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The more famous of the two temples is dedicated to Ramses II and the smaller one to his favourite wife Nefertari. The most remarkable feature of the temple of Abu Simbel is that the construction is oriented in a way that twice a year, the morning sun rays shine through the length of the inner temple cave and illuminate the statues of the four gods seated at the end of the cave. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Aswan hotel.
DAY 7: ASWAN - LUXOR
Check out of hotel and transfer by road to Luxor (approximately 4 hours). Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Luxor hotel.
DAY 8: LUXOR
Visit the East Bank of Luxor including Karnak Temple complex, a city of temples built over 2000 years and dedicated to the Theben triad of Amun, Mut and Khonsu, and the Temple of Luxor, a temple complex beginning from the 18th dynasty to the 14th century AD when a mosque was built in the complex to commemorate Abu Al-Haggag. Overnight in Luxor hotel.
DAY 9: LUXOR
Visit the West Bank of Luxor including the Valley of the Kings, the ancient burial ground of many of Egypt's New Kingdom rulers, the Valley of the Queens where the wives of the Pharaohs were buried as well as princes, princesses and various members of the nobility, and the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the most characteristic temples in the whole of Egypt, due to its design and decoration. Overnight in Luxor hotel.
DAY 10: DENDERA - LUXOR
Visit the Dendera and the Temple of Hathor, which is one of the best preserved in all Egypt and inside, the most fascinating sight is the roof chapel dedicated to Osiris, which contains a sundial and circular zodiac, and the Luxor Museum of Ancient Egyptian Art which contains a collection of the highest quality artworks dating from the Predynastic Period right through to the Islamic era. Overnight in Luxor hotel.
