Discover more of Croatia before or after your cruise and extend your stay in this beautiful destination. We can book an extended hotel stay in both Dubrovnik and Split or a 3 night extension to discover the capital city Zagreb and the stunning Plitvice Lakes.
Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which even today is protected by 13th and 14th century imposing city walls. A 3 night extension is an ideal way to discover its stunning architecture, restaurants, shops and sandy beaches or you can choose to stay in a resort on the Lapad Peninsula which has some lovely sandy beaches.
Split lies on the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea. This lively city boats the famous Diocletian’s Palace (a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the world’s most impressive Roman monuments) as well as numerous bars, restaurants and shops amidst the atmospheric old walls where life has been going on for thousands of years.
The capital of Croatia, Zagreb, is a charming city with culture, arts, music, architecture and mouth-watering gastronomy. It is the ideal size for a short visit where you can stroll its streets, drink coffee in its delightful cafés and enjoy its museums and galleries.
The Plitvice Lakes National Park was granted UNESCO World Heritage status in 1979. It is located about halfway between Zagreb and Zadar on the coast. The beauty of the National Park lies in its sixteen lakes, inter-connected by a series of waterfalls, and set in deep woodland populated by deer, bears, wolves, boars and rare bird species. There really is nothing better than to walk through the Park, taking in the beautiful surroundings and admiring the lakes, waterfalls, nature and wildlife.
