The Foreign Office (FCO) have recently removed all travel restrictions to Upper Egypt, including Luxor and Aswan and we are delighted to announce that our Nile cruises will be operating again very soon. Many of the airlines had suspended their flights to Luxor due to the politicial situation and the FCO travel ban, however it is still currently possible to travel to Luxor with the following airlines:
London Heathrow to Luxor - EgyptAir
There are daily flights to Luxor with EgyptAir via Cairo. Connection times at Cairo are usually around 2 hours.
London Gatwick to Luxor - Thomson
Direct Thomson flights into Luxor are available from the 5th March 2014.
Manchester to Luxor - EgyptAir
There are flights from Manchester to Luxor with EgyptAir via Cairo on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We recommend a stopover in Luxor at the beginning and end of your Nile cruise to enable you to embark on a cruise on a Monday or Wednesday.
We are hoping that in the near future more direct flights from London to Luxor will start operating again and we will let you know as soon as they are available!
