Lunch with the Egypt Minister for Tourism!

Thankfully the tube strike had been called off the day before and off we went to the working lunch for UK Tour Operators hosted by the  Egypt State Tourism Authority (ESTA) and attended by the Egyptian tourism minister Mr Hisham Zaazou. There was certainly a larger number of people there than the working lunch organised by the ESTA 3 weeks earlier (which had been for the specialist operators of classical Egypt).

It was great to hear from Mr Zaazou directly and how positive he is about Egypt (like us!) and how they intend to focus on Egypt's culture and heritage, which is a great boost for Nile Cruises. He is right to say that there is demand; we have had as many enquiries and bookings this year to date as last year. Our cruises have been operating on a weekly basis since December 2013 and feedback from clients has been excellent.
