This 2-part series from the Beeb has been looking at the ultimate global treasure hunt, from pirates' hoards and shipwrecked booty to dazzling gems to precious metals.

In the second and final episode, Ellie Harrison and Dallas Campbell reveal the greatest treasures man has ever created including a shipwreck where gold, silver and 5,000 emeralds have been found; the tale of intrigue and obsession surrounding a jewelled room in Russia decorated with millions of pounds worth of amber; the secretive world of diamond cutters and (the one we like best) treasures of the Boy-King Tutankhamun discovered at the Valley of the Kings.

Catch the episode on BBC iplayer here.

The Valley of the Kings can be visited as part of a Nile Cruise and the great treasure of King Tut can be seen at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo on a Cairo & Nile Cruise Stay holiday. King Tut's mummy is now in situ in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings.
