The beach is a short distance from the resort. A range of watersports include windsurfing, kite-surfing and catamaran sailing is available from the beach. Indoor facilities include a racquet club with tennis courts and squash courts. The fitness centre includes a gym, sauna and steam room and fresh water lap pool.

THE CASCADES Championship Golf Course Designed by Gary Player, this par 72 championship golf course, has green fairways that contrast with the rugged desert and surrounding sea. Adjacent to the course, is a 9 hole, par 3 Golf Academy Course, also designed by Gary Player. It offers both the beginner and the more advanced golfer the opportunity to practice a variety of shots with emphasis on the short game. There are also extensive practice facilities, including a 60 bay driving range, and several pitch and putt practice greens. Individual and group tuition by PGA Golf professionals is also available.

Thalasso & Wellness Centre Les Thermes Marins des Cascades is an integral part of La Residence. It has been established and is operated in cooperation with "Les Thermes Marins de Saint Malo" of France. It is one of the largest thalasso-therapy centres in the region. Treatments include an Aquatonic Pool, fitness and nutrition programs, a variety of hydrotherapy treatments in addition to seaweed wraps, underwater massages, "sea mist" room, beauty care and post-natal recuperation programs.

La Residence: Offers a variety of dining experiences. In addition to "a la carte" selections, all restaurants offer dietetic menus, designed especially for those undergoing nutritional programs. 

Dunes: Offering indoor and outdoor terrace dining with panoramic views of the golf course and sea. 

L’Albatros: This elegant restaurant features fine dining in an intimate atmosphere. Its terrace overlooks the golf course's 9th green and central lake. 

Spikes Bar: Situated just off the 18th green on the pool deck, the Spikes Bar is ideally positioned for a refreshing, cool drink after a satisfying round of golf or a few laps in the swimming pool. 

The Gallery: An intimate clubhouse lounge with panoramic views; ideal for afternoon tea and a relaxing card or board game. 

The Eagle's Nest: On the top floor, this British style pub is named after the many sea eagles that can be seen on the eastern coast of Soma Bay. True to it’s name, it dominates the entire peninsula from its privileged location. 

Layali: This is where an after-dinner evening is spent in arabesque style under the starlit skies of the Red Sea. Alternatively, the many outdoor terraces surrounding The Eagles Nest feature a number of “shisha corners” for relaxed contemplation of the desert landscape, the sea and starlit skies.  

La Residence des Cascades has 210 comfortable and graciously appointed guest rooms plus 39 luxurious suites, all with views of the sea and the Cascades Championship Golf Course. 

All rooms include a large bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower. Standard amenities include a private balcony, satellite TV, mini-bar, mini-safe, air-conditioning, electronic door locks and easy access to the Internet.

A limited number of rooms are equipped for handicap use.

La Residence also offers a number of luxurious one and two bedroom suites with spectacular views of the Cascades Golf Course and the sea. Most suites can be combined with a connecting room to form two or theree bedroom apartment complexes.

Standard Rooms have a bathroom with bathtub and separate shower, balcony, satellite TV, mini-bar, air-conditioning and safe.

Junior Suites have one bedroom, living area and bathroom.

The Gary Player Suite is as above but larger and with a terrace.
